Every GTA 6 trailer so far: Trailer 1, Trailer 2 and the 26-minute Extended Look
Rockstar has released three official videos for Grand Theft Auto VI, plus a cover-art animation and eight character reels. Here is what each one showed, when it dropped, and where to watch it without a sign-in.
Three official videos exist for Grand Theft Auto VI, and between them they carry almost everything Rockstar has confirmed about the game. If you have only seen clips on social media, the Trailers page has all three in one place, with a no-sign-in route for the one YouTube age-gates.
Trailer 1: December 4, 2023
The reveal. Rockstar put it out a day early after it leaked, and it set a record anyway: it has passed 279 million views on YouTube. Ninety seconds of Vice City and the state of Leonida, the first look at Lucia, and the viral-video framing (phone clips, alligators, beach chaos) that told everyone the tone before a line of plot had been shown. It also carried the original "coming 2025" promise, which Rockstar later moved twice.
Trailer 2: May 6, 2025
Released the same week Rockstar announced the first delay, Trailer 2 is the story trailer: Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos together, their starting apartment in the Leonida Keys, Port Gellhorn where the story begins, and a tour of regions from the Grassrivers wetlands to Mount Kalaga. It is the footage most of the map page is built from, and it has passed 167 million views.
An Extended Look: August 27, 2026
The one that matters most if you care how the game plays. Twenty-six minutes of gameplay captured on PlayStation 5, walked through by Rockstar, covering driving, shooting, the phone, and the police system in detail. It is where the six-star wanted level, the four police icons and the "someone has to witness the crime" rule were shown for the first time; our wanted level guide is built on it. YouTube age-gates this video, so Rockstar also streams it on rockstargames.com with no sign-in.
The nine official clips
Alongside the trailers, Rockstar's media hub carries a cover-art animation of Jason and Lucia and eight short character reels. They are hosted on this site too, in the Official Media box on the home page and on the Trailers page, so they play without leaving.
What came after
Since the Extended Look, Rockstar has kept the drip going without a new trailer: 29 new screenshots on August 31, the announcement of Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album on September 17, and the radio-station reveal on October 8. All of the screenshots, now 170 of them, are in the gallery with filters for characters, locations, editions and radio.
