GTA 6 is one month away: everything confirmed, everything still rumour
GTA 6 launches on November 19, exactly one month from today. Here is the full picture in one place: what Rockstar has confirmed about the date, price, editions, pre-load, platforms and the box, and what is still only reported, from reviews to PC and GTA Online.

Thirty-one days. One month from today, on November 19, 2026, Grand Theft Auto VI comes out. After thirteen years, three trailers, two delays and more fake leaks than anyone can count, the finish line is finally close enough to see.
So this is the one-page version. Everything Rockstar has actually confirmed, in one list. Then everything that is only reported, rumoured or guessed, in another. If you read nothing else before launch, read this.
Confirmed by Rockstar
These are the facts. Every one comes from Rockstar or Take-Two, not from an insider.
- Release date: November 19, 2026. Set in November 2025 after the game slipped from autumn 2025 to May 2026 and then to November. The launch trailer on October 15 repeated the date, and nothing since has suggested another move.
- Platforms: PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. That is the full list. No PS4, no Xbox One, no Switch 2 and no PC on launch day. We explained why it is current-gen only.
- Price: $79.99 Standard, $99.99 Ultimate. The Ultimate Edition is digital only. The extra $20 buys a set of vehicles, weapons and cosmetics, all of which we listed in the Ultimate Edition guide.
- Pre-order bonus: the Vintage Vice City Pack. Every pre-order gets it, whichever edition you choose. Here is what is in the pack.
- Pre-load: November 12. Digital pre-orders can start downloading a week early. Our pre-load guide has the checklist.
- The box has no disc. The boxed edition is a download code in a case. You still need the full download and the storage space. Rockstar has not given a reason, and Take-Two has denied planning a disc version later.
- Launch is single-player. Rockstar's own wording is that the launch version features a single-player experience. Read that carefully: it is not a promise that GTA Online arrives on day one.
- Age ratings are all in. M in North America, PEGI 18 in Europe and, as of this week, CERO Z in Japan. Vox went through every rating and what the descriptors actually say.
- The launch trailer is out. Ninety seconds of new PS5 footage, more of Jason's past, and a new Justice track. That was October 15, and Rockstar called it the launch trailer, which usually means it is the last one.
That is the whole confirmed list. It is shorter than a month of headlines would suggest, and that is the point.
Reported, but not confirmed
These come from outlets and insiders with decent records. Some will turn out to be right. None of them is official yet.
- Reviews before launch. Insider Gaming and NateTheHate both say review copies go out before the end of October and the embargo lifts ahead of November 19. Rockstar has not announced an embargo. We covered the review timing in detail.
- PC in early 2027. GamesBeat reports a PC version in the first quarter of 2027, which would be two to four months after consoles. Rockstar has not commented. Given that GTA V took 19 months to reach PC, even a January date would be a big change, and we have argued it should not wait long.
- Unlock times. Rockstar has not published a schedule. The PlayStation Store's own listings suggest each region unlocks at midnight local time, which is what our launch guide is built on, but that is store data, not an announcement.
- Install size. Not published. Fan estimates run from 120 to 200 GB. The viral 676 GB screenshot is fake, and we explained how big the download is likely to be.
- A first-person mode. Leaked development footage from October 8 appears to show Jason driving in first person. It is an old build, it is unofficial, and Rockstar has said nothing. Treat it as a maybe.
Guesswork and outright nonsense
A month out, the rumour mill is running at full speed. A few things to ignore:
- Console performance charts. A graphic claiming 1440p at 30 fps on PS5 and Series X and 4K on PS5 Pro has done the rounds this week. It came from a social media account, not Rockstar, and the site that spread it admits the numbers are guesses. Rockstar has not said a word about resolution, frame rate or ray tracing on any console.
- "Early access" downloads. CBS News Miami ran a warning yesterday about paid early-access links on social media. They are malware. There is no early access, no beta and no code that lets you in before November 19. Buy from the PlayStation Store, the Microsoft Store, Rockstar or a shop you have heard of, and nowhere else.
- A fourth trailer or a new gameplay showcase. Nothing has been announced. Rockstar could still drop something, but the launch trailer was labelled as exactly that.
- A GTA Online date. None exists. Anything claiming one is made up.
What happens between now and then
If reports hold, the next month looks like this. Review copies reach critics before October ends. Pre-load opens on November 12. Reviews land somewhere in the final week, embargo permitting. Then midnight on November 19, region by region.
We will keep this page's facts current across the launch guide, the wiki and the news feed, and we will label everything by how solid it is, the same way we always have. Thirty-one days. Clear the hard drive.
