Will GTA 6 be on PC? What Rockstar has said, and what the last two games did
GTA 6 launches November 19, 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S only. No PC version has been announced. Here is what is confirmed, and what Rockstar's own track record suggests.
No. Grand Theft Auto VI launches on November 19, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only, and Rockstar has not announced a PC version, a release window for one, or even that one is in development. Anyone selling you a "PC pre-order" today is not selling the real thing.
What is actually confirmed
Rockstar's own page and the console storefronts list two platforms. There is no PS4 or Xbox One version either. Pre-orders opened on June 25, 2026 at $79.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition, both console only; the launch guide has what each includes.
What Rockstar's track record says
Rockstar has brought every modern Grand Theft Auto and Red Dead to PC, but never on day one. GTA V launched on PS3 and Xbox 360 in September 2013, came to PS4 and Xbox One in November 2014, and reached PC in April 2015, about nineteen months after the first console release. Red Dead Redemption 2 launched on consoles in October 2018 and arrived on PC in November 2019, about thirteen months later. The first Red Dead Redemption took fourteen years.
That pattern is the only real guide to a GTA 6 PC release. If Rockstar repeats it, a PC version would be a 2027 or 2028 conversation, not a 2026 one. Nothing Rockstar said in its October 14 Bloomberg interviews changed that.
Why not launch on PC at the same time?
Rockstar has never explained the gap publicly. The usual reasons given by people who follow the company are the console exclusivity windows that platform holders value, the extra testing a PC version needs across thousands of hardware combinations, and the second sales peak a later PC launch creates. Treat all three as informed guesswork, not an official line.
What to do if you only game on PC
Nothing yet. There is no official PC pre-order, no system requirements list, and no store page. When a PC version is announced, it will be on the Rockstar Newswire first, and this site will cover it the same day. In the meantime the trailers and the official screenshots are the same for every platform.
Quick answers
Is GTA 6 coming to PC?
Not at launch. The November 19, 2026 release is for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only, and Rockstar has not announced a PC version. The last two Rockstar games came to PC later: GTA V about 19 months after consoles, Red Dead Redemption 2 about 13 months after.
Will GTA 6 be on PS4 or Xbox One?
No. There is no last-generation version, and none has been hinted at.
Can I pre-order GTA 6 on PC?
No. Pre-orders are open only on the PlayStation Store, the Xbox Store and as boxed PS5/Xbox download codes.

Ten days to Halloween, so Bama goes back through the ghost on Mount Gordo, the killer who kept count on the rocks, the cannibals up Chiliad, the thing in the ice, and the night folk in Red Dead's bayou, then looks at the Grassrivers screenshots and asks what Rockstar might have put out there after dark.
