Grand Theft Auto VI costs $79.99 for the Standard Edition and $99.99 for the Ultimate Edition on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Pre-orders opened on June 25, 2026, and both editions unlock on November 19. The Ultimate Edition is digital only; the Standard Edition comes as a digital purchase or a boxed download code.
Every pre-order gets the Vintage Vice City Pack
Whichever edition you pick, pre-ordering adds the Vintage Vice City Pack: a '55 Vapid Stanier, the Shore Court garage with a weapon locker and a fence, outfits and hairstyles for Jason and Lucia, a palm-tree weapon pattern, and one month of GTA+ on digital copies. It is a pre-order perk rather than part of the game, and digital purchases made before November 20 keep it.
What the extra $20 buys
The Ultimate Edition adds three groups of content on top of the pack.
- Vehicles: a '95 Grotti Cheetah, a '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy with a Paradise Garage in Watson Bay, a Dinka Enduro, a Crest Kayak, a Shitzu Squalo, and a Ganado retro build for Jason's pickup.
- Weapons and looks: Hawk & Little Morgan revolvers for both leads, an engraved Girardi ES9 and Klose K17, Vice City-style outfits and tattoos, and Goodtime Gear apparel.
- Extra content: the PTT Youngin$ Compound raid, Wyman's Classic Car Collection commission, and five exclusive shops including Electric Fang Tattoo with more than fifty designs.
None of it changes the story or the map. If you buy Standard and change your mind, an upgrade is available later, so the decision is not final.
The box has no disc
Physical Standard Edition copies ship from November 12 and contain a download code, not a disc. You cannot start downloading until the box arrives and the code is redeemed, so order early if you want to be ready for launch night. Digital pre-orders can pre-load from November 12; the launch guide covers file size and storage.
Refunds
On PS5, refunds are allowed within 14 days of the pre-order and only before anything has been downloaded, so a June pre-order can no longer be refunded. Check the Xbox Store's own policy for that side.
