Launch trailer

Ninety seconds of new footage and a new song

Rockstar released the launch trailer on October 15, 2026, with no countdown, five weeks before release: about 90 seconds of new footage captured on PlayStation 5, and the first official video since the Extended Look. Confirmed

What it shows

A story trailer, built around Jason Duval and Lucia Caminos and a robbery that was supposed to be simple, with car chases, gunfights, Vice City and the wider state of Leonida. The new character detail is Jason's past: his military service ended badly, which is part of why he struggles with ordinary life in the Keys. Mechanics were covered by the An Extended Look.

The song

The first trailer to lead with original music: "Flower in a Hurricane" by Justice (the game's score composers) featuring Tame Impala, SZA and King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, on Grand Theft Auto VI: The Album.

Captured on PS5

Rockstar says the footage was captured from the game running on PlayStation 5, without saying standard or Pro. The official page carries a "Plays Best On PS5" badge, a marketing deal rather than a statement about Xbox.
